Section 3.1 - Software Description

This set of software provides for an object to know what other objects need to have its scripts updated and to then automatically teh scripts in each object that has been set to allow for the updates. In this instance of the prohject, the object that travels from region to region to update objects in that region. The object that has been selected to hold the control script and the scripts to be updated is a model of the Police Box used as the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space) in the iconic Doctor Who science fiction series. This object was selected as it is thermatically compatible with the intended action of the object teleporting around he regions to carry out the updates.

Section 3.2 - Required Support Programs

This program runs using the Qt environment primarilty on Windows or Linux.

To run this system, the following programs must also be installed on the system running the program "auto_update":
(1) Open Simulator Virtual World Platform (or access to such a system).
(2) MariaDB (or MySQL) database.
(3) PHP General Purpose Scripting language for web development.
(4) Apache or equivalent web server that is used to interface between the Open Simulator and the Database.
