Section 3.2 - Python Issues

If during the installation of the simulator or its add-ons, it fails with a warning notice about python configuration, look in the error meesage for a possible module clashes. Uninstall and reinstall as necessary.

Section 3.2.1 - Profile Module Installation

If you install the profile V2 module, note that there are the size limitations in the profile entries. I tested two of the tab to confirm that there are unexpected limitations.

This entry in 2022 from Rowan Amore on the Second Life Community indicated there were serious limitations.

Profile

Each 7-bit ASCII character is encoded in one byte. International characters might need more bytes. When pasting text instead of typing, you can get in one byte more into each of the below.

2nd Life tab's About field - 510 bytes
Picks tab - 10 picks with 1022 bytes each
1st Life tab's Info field - 253 bytes
Classified tab - 100 listings with x bytes each
My Notes - 1022 bytes

After the testing below, it was clear there were limitations similar to those described by Rowan Amore. It would seem that talking about yourself in the real world is discouraged.

Section 3.2.1 - Length of 2nd Life Tab

Just to check, I input a large string (800 characters) and pressed the "Save" button and captured the result. The results are shown below. The test string did not contain anyline breaks of the line counts. They were added for clarity.
